Admissions

WWRC accepts applications of any individual with a disability whose needs are compatible with the structure, staff, and other WWRC resources.  Primary consideration is given to Virginia Department for Aging and Rehabilitative Services’ clients pursuing vocational goals.  To make a non-DRS referral contact the Admissions Department.

Postsecondary Education Rehabilitation Transition (PERT) Program

Vocational Training

The mission of Vocational Training is to successfully prepare clients for employment, higher education, and/or other career development goals by maximizing their employment, occupational, and self-sufficiency skills. Learn more about Vocational Training Services.


Vocational Evaluation

Vocational Evaluation is a comprehensive, systematic process of identification and assessment of a client’s vocational interests, abilities, strengths, weaknesses, aptitudes, and functional needs relative to employment goals. Learn more about Vocational Evaluation Services.


Workplace Readiness Program

The Workplace Readiness Program is designed to introduce workplace readiness behaviors to consumers to assist consumers with transitioning into employment or further education/training opportunities. Consumers will receive differentiated instruction in thirteen (13) workplace readiness behaviors which consumers can apply to simulated workplace environments through our pre-employment skills labs. Also, workplace readiness behaviors are supported by ancillary staff such as Occupational Therapy, Behavior Support Services, Communication Services, Residential Services and Recreational Therapy.  Read more about the Workplace Readiness Program.

Rehabilitation Counseling

Clients enrolled in a program of services at WWRC are assigned a Rehabilitation Counselor to provide guidance and counseling during their program.  Read more about rehabilitation counseling services.

Client Grievance Procedures
